The Penotti Ubertini Palace is situated in the middle of the Medieval town of Orta San Giulio. You can find it on the left side of the ascend from the central Square of Orta. It has a imposing façade: two balconies in the central part of the building, an imposing entrance door where in the past carriages and horses would transit. The building of the palace was commissioned by Paolo Gemelli at the beginning of the '700 and the palace was finished in 1747. The heir of the palace was the family De Forte, that they escape the Napoleonic invasion from Venice. The palace was never sold, but was inherited by the family Penotti, from the Lake Orta and important lawyers and notaries. Subsequently the palace was inherited by the Ubertini's family who are still the owners.
